EGR Varsity Field Hockey v. Forest Hills United, 9.28.24 The first ever EGR Field Hockey OK Conference match-up pitted the Lady Pioneers against the cross-town rival Forest Hill United. And EGR made an early season statement that they want to claim that 1st OK Conference title with a resounding 3-0 win. Avery Albers ('27) led the way with 2 goals and plenty of shots on net. Kellan Hudson ('25) tallied the other score. Top to bottom, the team played with determination and a spark that as of yet they had not displayed this season. However, the team is starting to round in to the form that was predicted for them. Led by the solid midfield play of Henny Maher ('25) along with energized forward play from Hudson and Addie Storrs ('26), the team is starting to generate an offensive push that is going to give many defenses fits in trying to cover all the options. The goalie for Forest Hills United faced 20 shots and was able to turn aside 17. The Lady Pioneers have plenty to look forward to moving into the meat of their schedule starting after the Labor Day weekend respite.
